Book one of Alyssa Rose Ivy's trilogy has the very definition of suspenseful romance, sarcastic, yet funny characters, and never ending excitement of a plot. Allie Davis is like any girl wanting a summer filled with excitement and adventure. Starting from chapter one we realize immediately what Allie wants is a summer filled with no guys and no problems. Yet this proves to be a challenge when Allie first lays her eyes on Levi. We realize soon after that her goal of a summer free of boy filled drama, might be an easier goal if she could just stop staring at Levi's perfection. Throughout the book the suspenseful events will leave you gasping and doubled over in laughter from the moment you start reading. The characters that the author (Alyssa Rose Ivy) created come alive and appear relatable to.
Chosen at Nightfall Review
(SPOILERS ARE REVEALED)
The newest installment from the author of C.C. Hunter has truly captivated her audience. From the beginning half of the book I was in shock over Lucas's emotions. In her last novel Whispers at Moonrise, Lucas ends up having a wedding ceremony with someone other than Kylie. In chapter 1 of Chosen at Nightfall, Kylie is forced to choose between family and her friends that have been more of a family to her, than her actual ones who are. I do not want to give too many details away but things are definitely not as they seem between Lucas and Kylie. Throughout the story I could not help but understand Lucas's motives behind his actions. When reading Whispers at Moonrise I felt that as if Lucas betrayed and went back on Kylie as if she were nothing of importance to him. Reading the newest installment definitely helped my understanding of Kylie and Lucas's relationship. Overall a five star book that has readers reeling and loving every second on the wild journey which is the great works of C.C. Hunter.
Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins Review
Sweet Evil: By Wendy Higgins
Book 2
For most Sweet Evil has been a long awaited novel that you have been dying just to get your hands on and to think its finally here! As I was reading Sweet Evil I had this overwhelming urge to want to skip to the end just to see if the book would have the desired outcome. I admit that this was an alright book, admittedly some parts were to better say boring. The characters just did not capture my interest as much as they should have within the first chapter. I believe it was my emotions for Kaidan and Anna that prevented me from liking the first half of the book. Towards the middle of the book that was where the plot finally got interesting I was utterly captivated I-could not put it down. The emotions that were running from Kaidan to Anna to the other characters (I use the name other characters for you to find out who he really is), was overwhelming. As if I was not surprised enough from the second half of the novel I literally was on the floor from Kaidan's actions and words. I will gladly admit that the ending was a bit good even though it could have been better than to leave the readers hanging mid air for the next installment. Sweet Reckoning will be out spring/summer of 2014.
